Activities

Task 1: Architectural and modeling requirements

T1: Architectural and modeling requirements (PUC-PR, Brazil+ support of FING Chile)

  • T1.1: Modeling and definition of the users’ requirements

Our definitions of autonomicity (list of self-* properties) (S1.1.1, LIP6) Our definition of self consciousness (context awareness) (S1.1.2, LAAS) User profiles (NIC Labs)

  • T1.2: Techniques for service modeling and to discover and select the most appropriate available services to perform the required functionality.

State of the art on service management (description, composition, publishing…) (S1.2.1INT)

  • T1.3: Design of the global architecture for context discovery.

Description of the architecture (end-systems, SoS, Overlay…) (S.1.3.1, PUC-PR)

  • T1.4: Introduce practical (experimental) considerations in the definition of the requirements.

Define 2 or 3 experimental scenarios (UML case studies) that illustrate the usability of the architecture (S.1.4.1 PUC-+ NIC-Labs support + all partners contributions )

Task 2: Self-conscious mechanisms for context awareness

T2: Self conscious mechanisms for context awareness

  • T2.1: Design transport layer for end systems and service overlay networks.
    • Transport layer protocol (S2.1, LAAS)
    • Differentiation between data plane and control plane (S2.2, FING)
    • Fully service oriented architecture (S2.3, LAAS)
  • T2.2: Algorithms for adaptive end systems behavior from context awareness and context intelligence. Routing and behavioral adaptation (S2.4, LIP6)
  • T2.3: Investigate mobility (nomadism) issues of both nodes and services. Mobility models and requirements (S2.5, LIP6)

Task 3: Modeling techniques and validation

Task 3: Modeling techniques and validation (FING+ support of INT)

  • T3.1: Define verification and validation techniques for ASDNs.

State of the art of potentially usable techniques and their adaptation to ASDNs (S3.1, FING)

  • T3.2: Modeling and validation of service composition proposed in Task 1.

Definition of modeling and validation techniques for services and service composition (S3.2, Institut Telecom)

  • T3.3: Modeling and validation of the dynamics of end systems and service behavior (mobility and service adaptation issues related in Task 2).

Modeling of the case study proposed in Task 1 (1.4), taking into account the requirements in term of mobility of task 2. (2.5)

Task 4: Dissemination and valorization

Task 4: Dissemination and valorization (NIC-Labs, Chile)

  • T3.1: Editing a web site dedicated to the SCAN project

To do at T0 (NIC-Labs)

  • T3.2: Common publications and repository of resources

Every partner puts its focused publications and ressources in the web site (all at T0) List of of interesting conferences (suggestions for common publications)

  • T3.3: Organizing meetings and seminar on topics related to the SCAN project

Partial meeting at Infocom with PUC-PR (T0+1, LIP6, LAAS) Identify key conferences for meeting opportunities

  • T3.4: Contributing to a program exchange of PhD students and senior researcher between the partners.
  • T3.5: Preparation of a follow-up project.
