Minutes (taken by Michel):

A first view of the case study that has to be enriched by every partner from this scenario skeleton that will be put by José on the soon to come SCAN web site:

SCAN VIEW and SCENARIO : to be done and Problems Define what a Server of Servics is Define what a user profile is Define what a service is Define what the resources are How to define/store the users/profiles/resources in the server How to present/send the existing services to the users How to send the service results to the users

Where are the services composed What are the assumption about access networks, about mobility

Possible Step : - Step 1 : one server, the services are published and known, and the server/user adapts the quality of the services given the context (nb of users, bandwidth already used, service constraints, etc) (question ?: is there some minimum requirements in the profile ? if yes : QoS guarantee, if not : adaptiveness and optimisation )

- Step 2 : a set of servers : same capabilities with a set of servers, using overlays, including ambient mobility

- Step 3 : the servers are able to compose services : how are these services known to the servers ad users, and how are they composed

- Step 4 : open services, ontology of services, formal hierarchies, social networking

EXAMPLE of Step 1 : Services for the university visitor (also students, professors, etc) To be done : when entering the university, get a map of the university, the nearest printer to get it, a video showing the way, and the internet access or other to warn the host, …
